How big of a chip can be repaired?
Chips smaller than a quarter and cracks shorter than about 6 inches can usually be repaired, as long as they are not directly in the driver line of sight.
Should I repair a chip or replace the whole windshield?
Repair is usually the better choice for small chips and short cracks outside the driver line of sight, because it is faster and costs less. Larger cracks, damage at the edge of the glass, or damage directly in front of the driver typically call for replacement. Call or stop by and we will tell you which one you need.
